It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the _ World Trade Center _
It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions th at include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Is it right or is it wrong?  To be honest I can see both sides as to why this battle ship was built. Just last month we remembered that dredful day that sparked a major change in our country. And here it is a battle ship to reek havoc on terrorists that we can’t honestly pen point. Scary how government can use people’s fear to murder others for alterior insecurity. Situations come to mind,.. Jews, African Slaves, Native Americans, Sudan, etc.
What does this battle ship mean to you?
Does it begin to make up for what happened?
On the other side I think of the pain of the families, friends, businesses, government that lost during that day and I see the battle ship as not being enough,… but a good start for revenge and security. I see the pride of this country feeling a sense of satisfaction at an opportunity to strike back in revenge. Something we all programed and guilty for. Yes all of us! I listen to our number one charts movies and songs and feel that audience living through the anger and blood that seeps through the screen and speakers.
I see how these battles ships quench a part of us all as a country.
Just a thought of how this battle ship makes me feel and think. So again I ask, what does this battle ship mean to you?
